GKS Katowice announces another transfer. The Serbian player Aleksa Batak has joined the team. Jakub Bochenek, director of the volleyball section, said: "We are very happy that Aleksa Batak joined GKS Katowice. He is a player who brings quality, experience, and high volleyball intelligence to the team." Batak is a 26-year-old player who started his career in his hometown Partizan Belgrad. In the 2019/2020 season, he decided to leave the country for the first time and joined the Italian Consar Ravenna. After two seasons, he returned to the Serbian Mladi Radnik Požarevac. He completed the 2021/2022 season in the French AS Cannes. In 2023, he won the triple crown with Partizan Belgrad – he won the Serbian championship, cup, and supercup. In 2023-2026, he played in the German VfB Friedrichshafen. There, he had the opportunity to play with the current leader of the Katowice team, Michał Superlak. Batak played in the youth teams of Serbia. Since 2019, he has had the opportunity to play in the senior national team.
